Pianist Harriet Cohen was the lover and muse of composer Sir Arnold Bax for four decades. Their turbulent affair inspired Bax’s finest music but drove Cohen to the depths of despair.

Now a previously lost concerto inspired by their romance has been unearthed and is to be performed for the first time. Romantic Overture follows the fascinating and intense process of staging the world premiere and uses expert comment and recently discovered archive material to tell the captivating story of the passion behind the music.
